Yallourn Transition Program
Supporting the people who powered Victoria for a century
A Responsible Transition. A Commitment to our People
Launched in November 2022, the $10 million Yallourn Transition Program was co-designed with employees and unions through extensive consultation with more than 500 workers, ensuring the program reflects the real needs, aspirations and lived experience of the Yallourn workforce.
Recognised internationally, including by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development as a leading example of a “just transition”, the program gives workers structured, personalised support ahead of closure, enabling early retraining and long‑term career planning.
