Community Support

Since 2016 EnergyAustralia has provided almost $1.2m to community organisations in the Latrobe Valley with over $465,000 in grants.

In 2025 three community organisations were supported to date including:

  • Trafalgar East Hall Committee for two new split system air conditioning units at the Heritage Trafalgar East Community Hall, often used for weddings and community events.

  • Lifeline Gippsland Inc. for a Dual Rag Cutter machine for the Rag Project which help fund Lifeline’s 24/7 crisis phone line. The additional machine will enable them to meet the growing demand for rags and support their vital crisis support services.

  • Gippsland Reserve Committee of Management to purchase a customer display cabinet and signage for the Emden Steam Whistle, which was used at Yallourn Power Station for a decade, marking work shifts and emergencies.
