Public Consultation Closed – Draft Declared Mine Rehabilitation Plan

The public consultation period for the Draft Declared Mine Rehabilitation Plan (DMRP) has now closed as of Monday, 18 August 2025.

We sincerely thank all community members and stakeholders who took the time to provide feedback. Your input is invaluable in shaping the future of the Yallourn mine site and ensuring the rehabilitation process reflects community values and priorities.

Next Steps for the DMRP Submission

  1. Review and Incorporate Feedback
    All feedback received during the public consultation period (which closed on Monday, 18 August 2025) will be reviewed and considered. Relevant insights will be incorporated into the final version of the DMRP.

  2. Finalising the DMRP
    The DMRP will be updated and refined based on community and stakeholder input, technical assessments, and regulatory requirements.

  3. Submission to Resources Victoria
    The final DMRP must be submitted to Resources Victoria - Regulatory Operations (RVRO) by October 2025, unless an extension is formally granted.

  4. Ongoing Engagement
    Although the formal consultation period has ended, the community is encouraged to stay engaged. Questions or concerns about the rehabilitation process or other matters can still be directed to the contacts provided below.
